The Forester men's basketball team was defeated 85-78 by visiting Knox College on Wednesday in a game that featured eight lead changes in the second half.
Lake Forest trailed 50-42 at halftime but took a two-point lead seven minutes later. The margin grew to five on a layup by sophomore forward
Noah Deitch at the 9:26 mark but the Prairie Fire rattled off eight straight points to regain the advantage. Back-to-back baskets by the Foresters put them back on top but the one-point lead changed hands against on each of the game's next three possessions, the last on a pair of Knox free throws with 3:45 to play. Lake Forest did not score again until the final 15 seconds of the contest.

Michael Michaud led all players in the game with 23 points and 13 rebounds, respectively. Forowycz connected five times from three-point range while fellow sophomore wing
Luke Arington made three from beyond the arc and finished with 10 points. Deitch and junior guard
Alex Knight also reached double figures with 13 and 15 points, respectively. Knight and junior guard
Elijah Bull shared the team lead with four assists apiece.
Lake Forest shot 49.2 percent from the field while Knox was slightly better at 52.4 percent. The Foresters made nine three-pointers to the Prairie Fire's five but were doubled up 14-7 on made free throws. The visitors had a slight 37-33 edge in rebounds.
Wednesday's defeat dropped the Foresters' overall record on the season to 3-10 and Midwest Conference mark to 1-3. Knox improved to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the league.
Lake Forest will travel to Cornell College on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
