The Lake Forest College women's basketball team was defeated 67-43 at Milwaukee School of Engineering Tuesday night.
Senior guards
Melissa Gomez and
Maurissa Edwards led the visitors with 11 and 10 points, respectively, and combined for eight steals.Junior guard
Rebecca Christodoulou grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and dished out a pair of assists.
The Foresters shot just 25.9 percent from the field and made only one of 16 attempts from three-point range. The Raiders were at 37.1 percent overall and connected four times from beyond the arc. The home team also had a commanding 51-29 edge in rebounds.
MSOE took the lead for good during an 8-0 run in the first quarter and led 19-13 after 10 minutes of play. The Raiders were ahead 33-24 at halftime and 49-37 after three quarters before tripling up the Foresters 18-6 in the final period.
Lake Forest is now 0-5 and MSOEÂ 3-1 on the season.
The Foresters will open Midwest Conference play at Grinnell College on Saturday with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
