The Forester women's basketball team was not able to keep up with visiting Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday in the consolation game of the Forester Tip-Off Tournament.
The Falcons jumped out to a 19-10 lead after the opening period and led 28-19 at halftime. The visitors scored the final nine points of the third quarter to extend their lead to 20 points (47-27) and led by as many as 24 in the fourth.
Junior guard
Rebecca Christodoulou led Lake Forest with nine points while junior forward
Emmy Punches finished with seven and a team-high four assists. Sophomore guard
Taylor Major paced the Foresters with eight rebounds and four steals.
The Foresters shot 29.3 percent from the field and made just three of 18 attempts from three-point range. The Falcons made 44.7 percent of their field goal attempts and out-rebounded the home team 34-29.
Lake Forest is now 0-2 and Concordia Wisconsin 1-1 this season.
The Foresters will travel just north of the state line to Carthage College on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
