The Lake Forest College women's basketball team was defeated 78-49 by Macalester College in the semifinals of the Forester Tip-Off Tournament Friday night.
The home team trailed by just six at halftime but the Scots began the third quarter with 14 consecutive points to take control of the game. The score was 56-38 after three quarters and Macelester doubled up Lake Forest 22-11 in the fourth.

Emmy Punches led the Foresters with 11 and 7 points, respectively. Senior guard
Maurissa Edwards dished out three assists.
Lake Forest shot just 30.9 percent from the field and connected on three of 13 attempts from three-point range. The Scots knocked down 46.9 percent of their field goal attempts overall but were just 4-for-14 from beyond the arc. The Foresters committed 24 turnovers to the Scots' 14.
The Foresters will take on Concordia University Wisconsin in the tournament's consolation game Saturday at noon.
