The Forester men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a scoreless tie at Cornell College on Saturday.

While the score was even, the opportunities for goals were not as Lake Forest put 10 shots on goal without allowing one on target from Cornell. Total shots were 22-8 in favor of the Foresters. The visitors also had eight corner kicks to the Rams' three.

The shutout was the fourth of the season for Forester freshman goalkeeper Andrew Swacha, who is now 3-3-4 with a 1.58 goals against average this year.

Lake Forest finished the regular season with a 5-8-4 overall record and a 3-1-4 mark in Midwest Conference play. Cornell is 6-7-5 overall and 4-2-2 in the league.

The Foresters and Rams will face each other again next Friday in the semifinals of the MC Tournament, which will be played at league champion Illinois College. The winner will face either Illinois College or Beloit College in the tournament final on Saturday.
