It was a tough afternoon for the Lake Forest College volleyball team, which was defeated 25-17, 25-12, 25-12 by visiting Illinois College.
The loss was the first in Midwest Conference play for the Foresters, who fall into a tie for second place in the standings with Illinois College at 4-1 in the league. It also ended Lake Forest's eight-match winning streak, the program's longest run since 2003.

Mary Gegen led the home team with seven kills and junior
Lauren Volk had a team-high nine digs.
Forester sophomore setter
Lilly Robinson finished with 11 assists and served up three aces, including two to begin the match. She leads the conference with 17 aces during league play.
Lake Forest fell to 14-5 overall while Illinois College evened its record at 12-12.
The Foresters will play three more MWC home matches next week, beginning with Tuesday night's match-up with Lawrence University, which will begin at 7:00 p.m.
