The Lake Forest College football team scored four touchdowns in the first quarter and defeated visiting Grinnell College 47-0 on Saturday.
All four scores came on throws from graduate student
Tre Stewart, who added a fifth touchdown pass late in the second quarter. He completed 14 of 22 passes for 293 yards in the game and moved into sixth place in program history with 4,521 passing yards in his career.
Three of Stewart's scoring strikes went to junior wide receiver
Trevor Land, who caught five passes for 142 yards in the contest. He leads the Foresters with 613 receiving yards, eight touchdown catches, and 11 scores overall this season.

A.J. Jackson scored the game's first points on a 23-yard touchdown pass and finished with five receptions for 92 yards while adding another 50 yards on three punt returns.
Stewart's other touchdown pass was am 6-yarder to junior tight end

Lake Forest also scored on a 1-yard run by junior tailback
Josiah Kidd and a 21-yard pass from freshman quarterback
Michael Kasemervisz to sophomore wide receiver
Mason Wright, who made a leaping catch and managed to land in bounds at the goal line.

James Staknis shared the team lead with five tackles apiece. Two of Ah Quin's stops occurred behind the line of scrimmage and the home team.finished with nine tackles for loss.

Dante Esposito each turned in a highlight reel interception.
The Foresters have now held opponents scoreless for the last 15 quarters. Saturday's shutout was the team's third in a row and fourth this season.
Lake Forest improved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in Midwest Conference play while Grinnell fell to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the league.
The Foresters will travel to Ripon College next Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
