A goal in the 24th minute of play ultimately doomed the Lake Forest men's soccer team in its match against North Central College on Wednesday evening. The one goal was all the Cardinals needed; they won the game 1-0.

Forester goalkeeper Giuseppe Scalera faced 11 shots and made six saves during his time in goal during the first half of play. Junior goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski took over in the second half and faced nine shots, saving two, including a penalty kick. North Central out shot Lake Forest 20-7.

Lake Forest is now 1-5 on the season. They will play at home against Kalamazoo College on Sunday, September 18 at 1 p.m.
