The Forester men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 at Macalester College on Sunday, despite a career-high eight saves by senior goalkeeper Ian Taylor.

Taylor made a pair of saves in a scoreless opening half and six more in the second. Lake Forest out-shot the home team 8-7 in the first 45 minutes but attempted just five shots to the Scots' nine after intermission.

The only goal of the game was scored on a header off a free kick with 13:31 to play in the contest.

The Foresters are now 1-3-0 this season while Macalester raised its record to 3-1-0.

Lake Forest's next game will be at home against Augustana College Friday at 4:30 p.m.
