Box Score The Lake Forest College men's soccer team routed host Rockford College 8-1 Sunday afternoon and is now 2-0-0 on the season. Senior Jerrold Rosema scored two goals and assisted on another in the contest.
For the second game in a row, senior Stephen Egan assisted sophomore Mahir Mameledzija in the third minute to give the Foresters the early lead. Sophomore Grady McDonald added an unassisted goal, his first of the year, at 30:22 and the visitors led 2-0 at halftime.
Forester sophomore Alexi Spiratos scored off passes from classmate Jordan Hartman and freshman Levi Budz at 52:12 and Egan assisted Hartman at 55:30.
After the Regents got on the scoreboard at 63:04, sophomore Nicholas Kliminski netted his second goal of the season just four minutes later. Senior Nelson Dorvlo assted Roseman at 84:07 and again at 87:55 and Dorvlo tacked on a final tally with 52 seconds to play. Kliminski and Roseman set up Dorvlo's first of the year.
Junior goalkeeper Giancarlo Colasanti recorded a pair of saves in each half to earn the victory. Freshman Ian Taylor held the home team scoreless for the final 13 minutes in his collegiate debut.
Lake Forest will host Edgewood College Wednesday evening at 5:00.
