Box Score The Lake Forest College men's soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat host Marian University 2-1 on Saturday. Sophomore Mahir Mameledzija scored both goals and now has four on the season.
Lake Forest out-shot the Sabres 8-5 in the opening period but trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Mameledzija put the visitors on the scoreboard eight minutes into the second half with fellow sophomore Jordan Hartman earning the assist. Sophomore Alexi Spiratos and senior Nelson Dorvlo then set up Mameledzija's second of the game and fourth this season with 22:39 remaining in the contest.
The Foresters attempted 20 shots in the game, twice as many as the home team.
Lake Forest junior goalkeeper Giancarlo Colasanti made four saves and improved to 4-0-0 this season.
The Foresters' next game will be at Benedictine University Tuesday night at 7:00.
