Playing their seventh match in as many days, the Lake Forest
College volleyball team was defeated in three sets (25-16, 25-21,
25-18) at Wheaton College Tuesday night. The Foresters fell to 3-4
on the season while the Thunder raised their record to 3-2.
Sophomore Cori Cooper led the visitors with 10 kills and she
recorded one of the team's two aces on the night. Senior Deena Blanchard had 15 of the squad's 25 assists. Sophomore Tia Rupnik
led the Foresters with 17 digs and senior Mandi Mulliner with four
blocks.
Lake Forest will be in action again this weekend at the
UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic. The Foresters will take on University
of Texas-Dallas at 5:30 Friday evening and the hosts at 7:30. The
opponents for Saturday's 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. matches are yet
to be determined.
