The Lake Forest College men's soccer team prevailed 3-0 at St.
Norbert College on Saturday, evening its Midwest Conference record
on the year at 2-2-0. Freshman Mahir Mameledzija netted one goal
and assisted on a pair of scores by classmate Jordon Hartman.
Hartman's first career goal gave the Foresters the early lead
just over seven minutes into the contest. Mameledzija earned the
assist and then scored his team-high fourth goal of 2010 at the
13:41 mark. Junior Jerrold Rosema recorded the assist.
The visitors led 2-0 for the rest of the opening period and then
added a third goal at 57:58. It was Hartman's second of the game
and season and Mameledzija's second assist of the contest and
team-high sixth helper of the year.
Lake Forest senior goakeeper Tom Biesiada needed just one save
to shut out the Green Knights for the second straight season. He is
now 4-2-0 with a 0.86 goals against average this year.
The Foresters raised their overall record to 4-3-0 while St.
Norbert fell to 2-5-0.
Lake Forest will continue MWC play at home Wednesday afternoon
at 4:30 against two-time defending league champion Carroll
