The Lake Forest College volleyball team traveled to Carroll
University and came away with a 28-30, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19 victory
Wednesday night (October 28). The Foresters raised their overall
record to 7-18 and evened their Midwest Conference mark at 4-4. The
Lady Pioneers fell to 13-17 overall and 2-6 in league play.
Forester freshman Cori Cooper
(Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central) led all players in the
match with a career-high 17 kills and added 20 digs. Junior Mandi
Mulliner (Elmhurst, Ill./York) was next on the team with 14
kills and added an ace and two blocks. Fellow junior Deena
Blanchard (Sparta, Mich./Sparta) tallied 37 assists and
freshman Megan
Trubich (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) and Molly
McCloskey (Riverside, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) reached double
figures in digs with 19 and 12, respecitvely.
Lake Forest will close out the regular season at home on Saturday
(October 31). The Foresters will host Lawrence University at 11:00
a.m. and Wisconsin Lutheran College at 3:00 p.m. A Lake Forest
victory over Lawrence and a Ripon College win at Carroll the same
day will put the Foresters in the following weekend's (November
6-7) MWC Tournament at either St. Norbert College or Beloit
