The Forester men's soccer team fell 4-0 to visiting Elmhurst
College on Wednesday (October 21) and is now 5-8-1 overall this
season. The Bluejays raised their record to 11-3-2.
Both teams attempted eight shots in the first half but attempts by
the visitors at 2:41 and 22:19 found the back of the net and gave
Elmhurst a 2-0 advantage at halftime.
The Bluejays out-shot the home team 8-4 in the final 45 minutes and
added a penalty kick goal at 60:11 and another score just 28
seconds later.
The Foresters' final four contests of the regular season will be
against Midwest Conference opponents, beginning with a home game
against Grinnell College Saturday morning (October 24) at 10:00.
The contest will be played on the field behind Alumni Memorial
Fieldhouse where the team played all of its games before the
renovation of Farwell Field in 2004. Lake Forest will then travel
to Beloit College on Sunday (October 25) for a 3:30 p.m.
contest.
