Scot Reinhart

After three-and-a-half years as an assistant women's tennis coach at the College, Scot Reinhart was named head coach in January of 2021. He holds the same position with the men's program.

Lake Forest was 16-5 overall, matching the fifth-highest victory total in program history, and finished second in the Midwest Conference standings with a mark of 5-1 in league play in 2024-25. The Foresters were the runners-up at the MWC Tournament, making their seventh consecutive appearance in the event's final. Reinhart is now 62-30 overall with victories in 25 of 29 league matches in five years as head coach. The team is also 122-48 overall and 50-6 in the conference since he joined the staff.

Sofia Strupovets captured a title at #1 singles, Lilli Dockal at #2, and Annika Kinnear at #5 at the MWC Individual Tournament. Strupovets and Dockal also claimed a championship at #1 doubles and Forester players reached the final at each of the other five positions in the lineup. Strupovets, Dockal, and Margaret Bugnacki were named All-MWC in singles and doubles and Dockal was also named MWC Player and Newcomer of the Year after Strupovets accomplished the same feat the previous season. Since Reinhart came to the College, Foresters have been named All-MWC 31 times.

Reinhart has also led the Forester men to a 53-38 overall record with a 25-4 mark in the MWC over the last five years. He has now helped lead the team to a 98-74 overall record and a 44-9 mark in league play in his nine seasons with the program. Lake Forest has been the runner-up at seven of the last eight MWC Championship Tournaments and players on the team have earned 27 all-conference honors in the last seven full seasons.

Reinhart was the head boys and girls tennis coach at Lane Tech High School from 2016 to 2020 and led the girls team to a third place finish at the Chicago Public Schools City Tournament his first season. Prior to taking over the program at Lane Tech, he was the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Chicago's Northside College Preparatory High School and led the JV team to four CPS titles.

In addition to coaching tennis, Reinhart owns and operates a small business. After graduating from the University of Arizona, he spent 17 years working for various advertising agencies and developed advertising, packaging and promotions for clients such as Coors Brewing, Kraft Foods, U.S. Postal Service, Nestle Quik!, Red Lobster, Salon Selectives, Coke Brands, Cracker Jack and Frito-Lay Brands, and Orville Redenbacher.

Still a successful player himself, Reinhart has competed for Northwestern University's USTA 4.0 traveling team for several years and helped the squad claim a Chicago district championship. He played at Elk Grove High School for four years and at at Harper College for two before transferring to the University of Arizona, where he competed on the club team.
