Dan Lek

Dan Lek joined the Forester coaching staff in 2022 as an assistant with the women's and men's tennis programs.

The Lake Forest women were 16-5 overall and finished second in the Midwest Conference standings with a mark of 5-1 in league play in 2024-25. Three Foresters were named All-MWC in singles and doubles, including MWC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year Lilli Dockal, and members of the team reached the finals at the MWC Individual Tournament at eight of nine positions in the lineup.

Forester women are now 44-21 overall and 15-3 in league play during Lek's three seasons on staff. They also advanced to the championship match of the MWC Tournament each year.

The Lake Forest men have posted a 35-26 overall record and MWC mark of 15-3 over the last three seasons. They have also reached the championship match of the MWC Tournament three times and had the MWC Player of the Year twice.

Lek has served as a private tennis instructor in the Lake County area since 2009. His experience coaching includes time as a volunteer assistant for the women's team at Bradley University and as a volunteer assistant at Mundelein High School. 

Lek was the #1 singles player at Mundelein High School. He's also an active USTA league player competing on both a men's and mixed team. Recently those teams earned district and regional titles in 2021 and 2022.

A 2004 graduate of Bradley University, Lek currently manages a reporting and analytics team at Grainger within the Customer Strategy, Sales Operations, and Marketing organization, where he's been for the past 10 years. Prior he led a strategy and analytics team at Starcom MediaVest Group.

He resides in Gurnee with his wife Lorena and their two children Colin and Lana.
