Rob Samuels '96

Rob Samuels joined the women's soccer coaching staff at his alma mater in 2021.

The Foresters posted a 21-1-0 overall record and perfect 8-0-0 mark in Midwest Conference play in 2025. They also captured their third consecutive conference championship, won the MWC Tournament for the second time in the last three years, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for just the second time in program history. Lake Forest outscored opponents 86-13 and six members of the team earned all-conference accolades, including the MWC Offensive Player of the Year, MWC Newcomer of the Year, and two additional first team selections.

Lake Forest is now 66-23-12 overall and 35-2-3 in Midwest Conference play in Samuel's five years with the program. The Foresters have garnered 29 all-conference accolades, including 20 first team selections, and added three MWC Offensive Player of the Year awards, three MWC Defensive Player of the Year honors, and four MWC Newcomer of the Year distinctions during that span. Players on the team have also earned nine all-region selections and an All-American accolade since 2021.

Samuels' coaching career also includes 11 years at the youth level - five with the Kenosha Area Soccer League and six with the Kenosha Crew.

A 2011 inductee into the Forester Athletic Hall of Fame, Samuels ranks third in Forester men's soccer history with 43 goals and 108 points. He was a four-time first team all-conference honoree and helped lead the team to a pair of league titles while playing with current head women's soccer coach T.R. Bell and for current assistant women's soccer coach Ed Kositzki.

Samuels is also an information technology specialist and resides in Old Mill Creek, Illinois.
