Hiwa Brown joined the coaching staff in 2023.
The Foresters posted 14-3-3 overall record and, for the second time in as many seasons with Brown on staff, captured the Midwest Conference title with a 7-0-1 mark in league play. Lake Forest led the conference with 33 goals scored and just three allowed during MWC play and six members of the team earned all-conference accolades, including the MWC Offensive Player of the Year and two other first team selections.
The team is now 25-7-8 overall and 14-0-2 in the league with Brown as an assistant coach. Forester players have been named all-conference a dozen times with three MWC Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year awards and a pair of MWC Newcomer of the Year accolades during that time.
Brown was a three-time All-Midwest Conference selection, earning second team honors as a freshman defender in 2018 and first team accolades at the same position in 2019. She studied abroad in 2021 but returned as a graduate student and first team all-conference midfielder in 2022. She was also voted the Foresters' Most Valuable Player in 2018 and is a two-time Academic All-MWC honoree.
An education and psychology double major, Brown graduated from the College in 2022.
She is also a teacher at Lake Bluff Elementary School.Â
