Scott Ward joined the Forester coaching staff in 2024.
Ward has been a volunteer high school and youth basketball coach since 2009 and served as the head girls basketball coach for the HRK Eagles in Gurnee, Illinois, from 2020-24. He compiled a 105-28 record during that span and the Eagles achieved a #9 national homeschool ranking in 2024.
In addition to coaching, Ward's professional experience includes four years as an emergency room technician at Lake Forest Hospital, as well as four years as a substitute teacher in nearby Waukegan and another in Zion Benton Township. He was the founder and owner of Fitness by the Book (2008-10) and JAMEKS Farm (2016-21) and is currently a lieutenant with the Waukegan Fire Department.
Ward graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in biology.
