The 2024-25 season will be the first at Lake Forest for Can Ozbalkan and sixth in the coaching profession.
Ozbalkan joins the Forester staff after two years as an assistant women's basketball coach at Purdue University Northwest, where he assisted the head coach in nearly every facet of the program.
In addition to coaching at Purdue Northwest, Ozbalkan has also been a video coordinator with the WNBA's Chicago Sky since 2022.
His experience also includes one-year stints as an assistant boys basketball coach at three different high schools, including his alma mater Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He also coached at a summer camp in 2019 with the Turkish Men's Under-14 National Team.
Ozbalkan is a 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where he served as the men's basketball team's head manager for two seasons.
