Scot Reinhart

After four years as an assistant men's tennis coach, Scot Reinhart was named head coach in January of 2021. He holds the same position with the women's program.

Reinhart led the 2024-25 Foresters to an overall record of 10-10 and the team finished second in the Midwest Conference standings with a mark of 5-1 in league play. Lake Forest was the runner-up in the MWC Championship Tournaments for the ninth time in the last 10 years the event was held. Reinhart is now 53-38 overall with victories in 25 of 29 conference matches in five years as head coach. The team is also 88-74 overall and 44-9 in the MWC since he joined the staff.

Foresters turned in runner-up performances at eight of the ninth spots in the lineup at the 2025 MWC Individual Tournament. George Ciuca, Bernardo Aguiar, and Felipe Moraes were named All-MWC in singles and doubles while Daniel Tulchinskiy earned the honor in the latter format for the second straight season. Since Reinhart came to the College, Lake Forest players have been named All-MWC 27 times. Ian Villardi repeated as the MWC Elite 20 Award recipient for possessing the highest grade point average of any player in the four-team 2025 MWC Tournament.

Ten of Lake Forest's 11 players in 2024-25 were named Academic All-MWC, giving the program 32 selections since Reinhart became head coach. In addition, three Foresters earned Academic All-District® accolades from College Sports Communicators.

Reinhart has also directed the Forester women to an 62-30 overall record with a 25-4 mark in the MWC over the last five years. He has now helped lead the team to a 122-48 overall record and a 50-6 mark in league play since he joined the staff. Lake Forest has reached the final of each MWC Tournament during that span and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history in 2019.

Reinhart was the head boys and girls tennis coach at Lane Tech High School from 2016 to 2020 and led the girls team to a third place finish at the Chicago Public Schools City Tournament his first season. Prior to taking over the program at Lane Tech, he was the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Chicago's Northside College Preparatory High School and led the JV team to four CPS titles.

In addition to coaching tennis, Reinhart owns and operates a small business. After graduating from the University of Arizona, he spent 17 years working for various advertising agencies and developed advertising, packaging and promotions for clients such as Coors Brewing, Kraft Foods, U.S. Postal Service, Nestle Quik!, Red Lobster, Salon Selectives, Coke Brands, Cracker Jack and Frito-Lay Brands, and Orville Redenbacher.

Still a successful player himself, Reinhart has competed for Northwestern University's USTA 4.0 traveling team for several years and helped the squad claim a Chicago district championship. He played at Elk Grove High School for four years and at at Harper College for two before transferring to the University of Arizona, where he competed on the club team.
