Kyle Jones joined the Forester coaching staff in 2024 and was elevated to associate head coach a year later.
Lake Forest was 10-8-3 overall and captured a Midwest Conference championship with a 7-0-1 record in league play in the first season with Jones on staff. The Foresters also hosted and won the four-team MWC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Four players on the team were named first team all-conference, including the MWC Defensive Player of the Year, and four more earned second team honors.
Prior to coming to the College, Jones had been the head boys soccer coach and physical education department chair at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Illinois, since 2012. He led the Raiders to the first five Independent School League titles in program history and to the team's first 1A State Championship in 2023.
While at NSCDS Jones was a six-time ISL Coach of the Area, a Regional Coach of the Year, an Area Coach of the year, and a National Coach of the Year nominee. Several of his players have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
Jones founded a soccer skills coaching company called Illinois Skill Schools in 2012 and has also served as a director for Nike Soccer Camps since that time.
His experience also includes a two-year stint (2010-12) at The Manchester College in Manchester, England, as the Athletics Director, Head Soccer Coach, and Head of Soccer Coach Education.
Jones has earned United Soccer Coaches National, Advanced National, and Premier (with distinction) diplomas and attained English FA Level 1 and Level 2 distinction.
Jones graduated from Cornell University in 2005 with a degree in human development. He also earned a master's degree in coaching and athletics administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2021.
