The 2024 season will be the first for Michael Cervantes on the Forester coaching staff and 13th in the profession.
In addition to coaching at Lake Forest, Cervantes is the executive vice president for the Steelhead Lacrosse Club, a Team Illinois National Coach, and a New Balance All-America Coach.
Cervantes served as an assistant coach at St. Viator High School from 2019-23 and helped lead the Lions to four conference championships, a pair of sectional titles, and a runner-up finish at the 2023 State Tournament.
As a player, Cervantes captained Team Mexico at the 2022 World Qualifiers and 2019 Indoor World Championships. He was also a two-time all-conference selecting and Defensive Player of the Year at Robert Morris University in Illinois.
