The 2025 season was Gordon Kiesgen's first as a member of the Forester coaching staff. He works primarily with the team's faceoff specialists.
Lake Forest posted a 10-8 overall record and tied for third place in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference standings with a league mark of 8-3 in 2025. The team also reached the semifinals of the NACC Tournament. The Foresters won 55.2 percent of their faceoffs overall and 59.9 percent of those opportunities during league play.
After four years at Monmouth College, Kiesgen spent the 2024 season as a graduate student playing for the Foresters. His .665 faceoff winning percentage ranked 14th in the nation that year and is still a school record. He earned Second Team All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference honors and helped lead the team to a 16-3 overall record, a conference championship with a perfect 4-0 mark in league play, and an MLC Tournament title. Lake Forest qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament and advanced to the second round.
Kiesgen won 608 of 937 faceoffs (64.9%) and racked up 311 ground balls while playing at Monmouth from 2020 to 2023. He also scored 25 goals and assisted on nine others during that span and was named First Team All-MLC as a junior and senior.
