The 2024-25 season was the first at the College for assistant coach Cliff Paul.
Lake Forest went 14-13 overall and tied for third place in the Midwest Conference standings with a 10-6 record in league play during Paul's first season with the program. The Foresters also qualified for the four-team MWC Tournament for the first time in five years and advanced to the event's championship game for the fourth time in school history. Alex Knight was named First Team All-MWC after the season while Alex Forowycz was a Second Team selection.
Paul founded Illinois HoopStars in Chicago in 2019 and has served as a head coach with the AAU program ever since. He has also been a lead coach at Power Through Basketball in Woodridge, Illinois, since 2022.
He is an NCAA Certified, USA Basketball Certified, and Junior NBA Certified coach.
In addition to coaching, Paul is an Illinois licensed para professional and serves as a director at Ultimate Response Consultants in Lombard, Illinois.
