Lake Forest College

Jaron Eanes returned to his alma mater as part of the coaching staff in 2022. He began working directly with the team's defensive linemen in 2024 after two seasons with the linebackers.

Lake Forest was 7-3 overall and tied for second place in the Midwest Conference with a 7-2 league record in 2025. Defensive tackle Michael Kelley was a First Team All-MWC selection while defensive end Preston Mosher earned second team honors. They led a group of defensive linemen that registered 143 tackles, 29.0 tackles for loss, and 9.0 sacks on the year.

The Foresters are now 33-9 overall and 30-6 in MWC games with a pair of league titles and NCAA Playoff appearances since Eanes joined the staff. He has been the position coach for players earning seven all-conference honors, including three First Team All-MWC accolades, during that span.

Prior to returning to Lake Forest as a coach, Eanes spent the previous three seasons as the defensive coordinator at Chicago Hope Academy. He helped lead the Eagles to a 17-9 record with eight shutouts, including a school record five in 2021. Eanes was also the defensive coordinator at Whitney Young High School in Chicago in 2018. The Dolphins were 9-0 with three shutouts that season and claimed a Chicago Public School League Madison Street Division championship.

A defensive lineman for the Forester football team from 2006-09, Eanes racked up 193 career tackles and still ranks fourth in program history with 39.5 tackles for loss and tied-for-ninth with 12.5 sacks. He was named Second Team All-Midwest Conference as a sophomore and senior and added an Honorable Mention All-MWC selection his junior year.
