The 2024 season was the first at Lake Forest College for Ernest Duplessis, who works directly with the team's outside linebackers.
The Foresters were 10-1 overall and Midwest Conference champions after posting a perfect 9-0 record during league play in 2024. They also played in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history. Outside linebacker Blake Ware led the team with 68 tackles and earned First Team All-MWC accolades.
Duplessis began his coaching career as a wide receivers coach at Trinity International University in 2021 and spent two seasons in that role. He also played wide receiver for the Trojans for four seasons and led them in touchdown receptions as a senior.
After graduating from Trinity International with a degree in 2008, Duplessis joined the Navy and attained the rank of Chief after a decade of service.
