Defensive assistant Dean Storkan spent his 14th season on the Lake Forest College coaching staff in 2024.

Lake Forest posted a 10-1 overall record and captured the Midwest Conference title with a 9-0 mark in league play in 2024. The Forester defense led the conference and ranked among the nation leaders in several statistical categories.

Six members of the Lake Forest defense were named All-MWC in 2024, giving the program 59 all-conference awards on that side of the ball in Storkan’s time as the defensive assistant.

The Foresters have won at least eight games eight times during Storkan’s 14 years as an assistant coach and posted an overall record of 95-42 and league mark of 73-23 in that span. They also captured four conference titles and made three NCAA Playoff appearances.

Storkan was no stranger to Forester Football when he joined the staff. His son Rick graduated from the College in 2010 after a four-year career as a fullback and defensive lineman.

Storkan is a graduate of Santa Clara University and the University of Michigan Law School. The President of TriCal, Inc., is married to Joanne and resides in Pebble Beach, California.
