Brett McMurray joined the Forester coaching staff in 2024 as linebackers coach, special teams coordinator, and recruiting coordinator.
McMurray was the defensive coordinator at Kenyon College in 2023 and the Owls' defensive line coach the year prior. He coached three All-North Coast Athletic Conference players.
McMurray has also served as the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Chabot Community College, Sul Ross State University, and College of the Redwoods and as the special teams coordinator at Humboldt State University, his alma mater. His coaching career also includes stints at Southwest Minnesota State University and Bemidji State University.
