Albert Greene

Albert Greene has been on the Forester coaching staff for 11 years with the 2024 season being his seventh directing the team’s entire defensive backfield after working with just the safeties the previous four years.

Lake Forest was 10-1 overall and captured the Midwest Conference title with a perfect 9-0 record in league play in 2024. The team also played in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history. The Forester defense tied for eighth in the nation with 18 interceptions and 35th in opponent pass efficiency (110.27). Under Greene's direction, safeties Trenton Brail and Thomas DeChesaro earned Second Team All-MWC honors. The team's defensive backs combined for 256 tackles, 14 interceptions, and 20 pass breakups on the season.

The Foresters are now 76-30 overall and 53-11 in league play with three conference titles and NCAA Playoff appearances since Green joined the staff. Defensive backs on the team have now intercepted 65 passes in 66 games with Greene overseeing the entire group. The unit has produced nine All-MWC selections during that time, including the MWC Defensive Skill MVP in 2021. Prior to that span, Greene directed a Lake Forest player to First Team All-MWC honors in each of his four seasons as the team's safeties coach.

Greene is a 2006 graduate of Monmouth College, where he was a starter as a sophomore on the football team. He was also an All-American in the triple jump and Midwest Conference champion in the long jump and triple jump for the Fighting Scots’ track and field team.

Since graduating from Monmouth with a degree in communication, Greene has served as an assistant track and field coach and head jumps coach at both the high school and collegiate levels. He currently works with the sprinters on the Forester men's and women's track team.

Greene is also an assistant track coach at Lake Forest and serves as an internship specialist in the College's Career Advancement Center. He lives in Schaumburg with his wife Tiffany and children McKiah and Blaze.
