College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams on Tuesday and a trio of Foresters were recognized.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They also need to be in the lineup for 75 percent of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.
Lake Forest's honorees were juniors
Kate Feist and
Anika Kinnear and sophomore
Avelynn Wen.
Feist, who is double-majoring in neuroscience and biochemistry and molecular biology, also received the Midwest Conference Elite 20 Award this spring for owning the highest cumulative grade point average of any player at the four-team MWC Tournament. She claimed the title at #5 singles and was a semifinalist at #3 doubles at the MWC Individual Tournament. Feist finished the year with a 27-14 record in singles and doubles combined and is now 90-48 overall in her career.
Kinnear was Feist's partner at #3 doubles and played primarily at #6 singles. She was a semifinals at the MWC Individual Tournament at both positions and finished the season with an overall record of 22-17, raising her career mark to 51-37. The double major in music and environmental studies was also a CSC Academic All-District® honoree in women's basketball earlier this year.
Wen transferred to Lake Forest prior to the 2025-26 season and is majoring in communication. She captured #4 singles and #2 doubles championships at the MWC Individual Tournament and was 17-5 in singles and 18-7 in doubles during her first year at the College.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 2.
