The Forester men's lacrosse team hosted and defeated Beloit College 20-3 on Saturday.
The first goal of the season by Lake Forest junior
Judson Norris started the home team's scoring barrage at the 11:43 mark of the opening period. Beloit answered just 38 seconds later but the Foresters rattled off eight consecutive goals, including two each from junior
Macklin Thomas and sophomore
Aidan Wigton.
The Buccaneers struck twice late in the second quarter to make the halftime score 9-3.
Sophomore
Liam Smith netted one of Lake Forest's goals in the second quarter before scoring two more times and assisting on six tallies in the second half. His assist total on the day was just one shy of the program's single-game record while his nine points matched the ninth-highest mark in team history.

Rob Anderson also netted his first goal as the home team continued to pull away.

Brant Schuckman joined Thomas and Wigton with two-goal performances on the day.
Each of Lake Forest's four goalies played a quarter and they combined for 11 saves. Senior
Jacob Lipson started, made a pair of saves, and was credited with the victory. Freshman
Henry Morgan had two saves in the second quarter, sophomore
Billy Draper made one in the third in his first appearance of the season, and freshmanÂ
Griffin Niedzielski's collegiate debut featured six saves in the final 15 minutes.
Sophomore
Cory Cummins led the team with four ground balls and three different Foresters registered two caused turnovers. Senior
Gabe Boston led the squad's faceoff specialists with a 5-2 record at the dot.
The victory raised Lake Forest's overall record this season to 4-3 and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference mark to 3-0. Beloit fell to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.
The Foresters will continue conference play at Milwaukee School of Engineering Wednesday night at 7:00.
