The Forester women's lacrosse team began the 2026 season with a 21-6 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University at home on Saturday.
Light snow throughout the contest did not slow down the Lake Forest offense, which ran through senior
Emma Sharp. She scored a career-high nine goals and assisted on seven others for a single-game school record 16 points. The previous mark of 14 had been set by Sharp during a five-goal, nine-assist performance at Illinois Institute of Technology last April. Her goal total on Saturday ranks second in team annals behind the 10 scored by
Jenna Doctor in the same game at Illinois Tech.
Three of Sharp's assists came on goals by freshman
Madison DeGeorge, who scored five times and had a team-high four ground balls and four caused turnovers in her collegiate debut.
Forester senior
Daulath Khan, sophomore
Avery Srnka, and freshman
Abi Evans finished with two goals apiece and sophomore
Addison Dale added one. Srnka also assisted on four scores for a career-high six points while Khan set up three goals, matched DeGeorge with four ground balls, and led all players in the game with seven draw controls, two more than Evans.
The Foresters' 16 assists matched the program's third-highest total while their 37 points rank fifth in team history.
At the other end of the field sophomore goalie
Cy Nash made a career-high four saves to earn the victory.
Illinois Wesleyan fell to 2-2.
The Foresters' next two games will be played in Sewanee, Tennessee, during the team's Spring Break trip. Lake Forest will take on Wittenberg University on Saturday, March 8, and Sewanee two days later.
