The Forester men's hockey team was defeated 10-1 at Adrian College, the fourth-ranked team in the nation, Saturday afternoon.
Lake Forest was at Adrian this weekend or the teams' quarterfinal series in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Playoffs. The Foresters also fell to the Bulldogs on Friday and were eliminated from the playoffs with Saturday's defeat.
The game was scoreless for the first 10 minutes but Adrian struck three times in the next 10 to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room after the first period.
The Foresters' lone goal of the contest came off the stick of sophomore forward
Max Jaldung at the 3:22 mark of the second. It was a power play score for Jaldung, who contributed to all three Lake Forest tallies in the series and finished the season with 11 goals. Freshman defenseman WIll Shephard assisted on the score.
The Bulldogs restored their three-goal advantage with a short-handed score just five minutes later and added to their lead with two more goals later in the period. They also tacked on four more scores, including a power play goal, in the third.
The Foresters finished the year 6-19-2 while Adrian advances to next weekend's Harris Cup Playoff semifinals at 20-6-1.
