The Forester women's basketball team was defeated 85-69 by Illinois College at home Wednesday night.
Sophomore guard
Emma Hart connected three times from beyond the arc and led Lake Forest with 13 points. She also grabbed five rebounds, dished out three assists, and added a pair of steals on the evening. Senior forward

Anika Kinnear reached double figures in rebounds with 12 and 10, respectively, and Kinnear also had 10 points for her first career double-double. Junior guard
Mia deGrasse paced the squad with a career-high five assists.
The Foresters made 43.3 percent of their field goal attempts for their highest accuracy in nearly two months and the team's nine three-pointers were a season high. The Lady Blues, however, out-rebounded the home team 48-36 and committed just 12 turnovers, 10 fewer than Lake Forest.
The visitors scored the first 10 points of the game and led throughout. The was 26-12 at the end of the first quarter and the margin grew to as many as 19 points in the second. The Foresters battled back, outscoring their guests 12-2 to make it a 42-33 game at halftime. A three-pointer by Hart to open the third quarter scoring trimmed the deficit to just six points but they got no closer.
The loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record to 2-11 and Midwest Conference mark to 0-4. Illinois College improved to 6-7 overall and 3-2 in the league.
On Saturday the Foresters will travel to Cornell College, where they are scheduled to take on the Rams at 3:00 p.m.
