The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 6-0 by Adrian College, the seventh-ranked team in the nation, at home Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs scored while on the power play and while short-handed in the first and had a pair of goals in each period.
Adrian finished the afternoon with 52 shots on goal, 46 of which were turned away by freshman goaltender
Lily Peterfeso. It was the highest save total by a Forester goalie this season.
The loss evened Lake Forest's overall record at 8-8-0 and the team is now 6-4-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. Adrian improved to 13-4-0 overall and 10-0-0 in the league.
The Foresters will travel to Trine University next weekend to take on the Thunder Friday night at 7:00 (ET) and Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (ET).
