The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 6-2 Saturday afternoon at Adrian College, the sixth-ranked team in the nation.
The Bulldogs started the game with five goals in the first 9:41.
Junior goaltender
Alexander Rohlf entered the game at that point and allowed just one score while making 39 saves the rest of the way.
Lake Forest's comeback bid began with the first career short-handed goal for
Christopher O'Flaherty with 1:29 to play in the first. The freshman forward got in the way of an Adrian pass and the puck caromed up the ice. He out-raced both defensemen to it and, after faking to his right, he went left and slipped it past the goalie for his team-high-tying 10th score of the season.

The only goal of the second period was a power play score by Forester sophomore forward
Max Jaldung at the 4:50 mark. Several quick passes in the Adrian zone set up Jaldung at the top of the right circle and he blasted in his eight goal of the year. Freshman defenseman WIll Shephard and senior forward
Logan Kittleson earned assists on the play.
After having 38 consecutive shots saved by Rohlf, the Bulldogs finally struck again at the 12:17 mark of the final period. They had a 50-18 advantage in shots on the day.
Lake Forest fell to 4-12-1 overall and 4-6-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play while Adrian improved to 12-5-0 overall and 8-2-0 in the league.
The Foresters will host Trine University next weekend with the team facing off Friday night at 7:00 and Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
