Soccer players Peter Cirbo and Izzy DeStefano were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Cirbo scored the only goal in Lake Forest's victory over visiting Illinois Institute of Technology, the 23rd-ranked team in the nation, on Friday. With the ball bouncing out to him at the top of the box, the junior midfielder blasted a shot into the top-right corner of the goal with just 4:39 remaining in the contest. Cirbo accounted for half of the Foresters' 12 shots and all four of their shots on goal in the game.

Friday's score was Cirbo's second game-winner of the season and fifth of his collegiate career. He leads the team with four goals and 10 points on the year and now has 37 points on 13 goals and 11 assists in three seasons at the College.

DeStefano turned in a 10-point week as Lake Forest won three times. After assisting on a pair of goals during Tuesday's 4-0 victory at Milwaukee School of Engineering the senior midfielder struck three times herself in an 8-0 rout of Benedictine University on Thursday. The Foresters also came out on top 2-1 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday with DeStefano setting up both scores.

DeStefano leads the nation with eight assists and ranks third with 20 points this season. Thursday's hat trick was her third as a Forester and she is now tied for eighth place in program history with 87 points and ninth with 33 goals.

Cirbo was also a Forester Athlete of the Week on September 2 and both payers have earned the honor three times in their careers.
