Victories by AJ Jones and Michael Kasemervisz highlighted the Lake Forest College track and field team's performance at the Beloit Relays on Saturday.

With a time of 12.83 seconds, Jones edged out the runner-up in the women's 100m dash by just .03 seconds. It was a busy but successful day for Jones, who also placed second in the 200m in 26.87 seconds and helped the Foresters set program records in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

Kasemervisz broke his own school record while winning the shot put with a toss of 14.92m (48' 11.5"). He was also third in the discus at 36.94m (121' 2").

Joining Jones on the 4x100m relay were freshman Farah Tawfik and juniors Jacquelyn Han and One Kenosi. They made it around the track in 51.91 seconds to break the mark three of them set two weeks ago. Tawfik, Jones, Kenosi, and freshman Andrea Fernandez finished the 4x400m relay in 4:19.77, more than five seconds faster than the previous record set two seasons ago.

Han also broke her own record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.49 seconds.

Lake Forest had several top-three finishes at the meet, including two my sophomore Lettia Hoda. She was third in the 800 and 1500 and her time of 5:00.41 in the latter event ranks her third in program history.

On the men's side, the 4x100m relay team of senior Trentyn Tyson, freshman Jalen Williams, sophomore Payton Ross, and junior Mason Wright were second in 44.06 seconds. Ross was also the runner-up in the 110m high hurdles with a time of 16.09 seconds and freshman Owen Lashenik finished second in the 3000m steeplechase in 10:48.32.

Senior Matthew Lungu was third in the 400m, where his 50.31 seconds just missed the program record he already owns and the fourth-place clocking of 50.76 seconds for sophomore Ollie Francis ranks second in team annals. Freshman Demos Manoukis turned in a third-place finish in the 5000m, which he finished in 17:17.41, and freshman Ryan Talty was third in the triple jump with a mark of 12.87m (42' 2.75").

The Foresters will be back in action in just five days at next Thursday's Don Church Twilight Meet at Wheaton College. The contest will begin at 2:00 p.m.
