The Lake Forest College men's hockey team had its 2024-25 season come to an end Saturday night after a 7-2 loss at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
The Foresters led twice during the first period. Junior forward
Colin Bella scored to put the visitors on top just 2:19 into the contest and, after the Raiders tied the score three minutes later, he netted his second goal of the game and team-high-tying 10th this season at the 8:01 mark. Freshman forward
Trevor Faucher assisted on Bella's first goal and junior forward
Philip Quetell set up the second.
MSOEÂ converted a power play opportunity a minute-and-a-half later to tie the score again and then took the lead with 2:32 to play in the first period.
The home team tacked on two more scores in each of the final two periods to put the game out of reach. The Raiders had just a slight 39-35 edge in shots on goal on the night.
Lake Forest finished the season 9-15-1 overall and 5-12-1 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association while MSOEÂ improved to 12-9-4 overall and placed fifth in the league standings at 7-8-3.
