Peter Cirbo Earns All-America Honors from United Soccer Coaches

12/4/2025 12:00:00 PM

The 2025 United Soccer Coaches Division III All-America Teams were announced on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Peter Cirbo was among the honorees, earning fourth team accolades.

Cirbo finished the season with 32 points on 11 goals and 10 assists, leading the Midwest Conference in all three categories and ranking tied-for-17th in the nation in assists. In addition, just four players in the country have more than his six game-winning goals in 2025. The junior midfielder had at least one goal or assist in 14 of the team's 21 games and contributed to multiple scores in a game six times.

The All-American recognition added to a lengthy list of awards for Cirbo this fall. During the season he was named MWC Offensive Performer of the Week twice and Forester Athlete of the Week three times. League coaches made him a First Team All-MWC selection and the MWC Offensive Player of the Year and, earlier in the week, United Soccer Coaches tabbed him as a Second Team All-Region IX honoree. A successful student as well, the physics major has been named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators each of the last two seasons.

Cirbo now has 59 points on 20 goals, including 9 game-winners, and 19 assists in his Lake Forest career. He is just the second All-American in program history, joining Mahir Mameledzija, who was a third team selection in 2012.

With Cirbo as a team captain, the 2025 Foresters began the year with 15 consecutive victories and finished 19-2-0 overall. They also captured a conference title with a perfect 8-0-0 record in league play and won the MWC Tournament to secure a fourth consecutive berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament
