United Soccer Coaches announced its 2025 All-Region Teams for men's soccer on Tuesday and Lake Forest College had five honorees.
Senior defender
Alexis Flores, junior midfielder
Peter Cirbo, and freshman forward
Chad Endozo were named Second Team All-Region IX while senior defender
Christian Karabetsos was a third team selection and senior midfielder
Gio Diaz earned fourth team accolades.
Flores and Karabetsos anchored a Forester defense that blanked 14 of 21 opponents for the second-highest shutout percentage in the nation. Lake Forest allowed just 0.62 goals per game, the lowest mark in program history. Flores and Karabetsos combined for four goals and an assist at the other end of the field and both were named First Team All-Midwest Conference with Flores adding MWC Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Cirbo finished the season with a team-high 11 goals and 10 assists. He ranks tied-for-fifth in the country with six game-winning goals and just 32 players in the nation have more than his 32 points. Cirbo recorded at least one goal or assist in 14 of his 21 appearances and was named First Team All-MWC and MWC Offensive Player of the Year on November 13.
Endozo tied for third on the team with 11 points on three goals and five assists. He began his career with an assist in five of his first seven games and his first goal was the game-winner with 2:21 remaining in a 2-1 triumph at Lawrence University. He also scored the team's only goal in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Two of the three goals Diaz scored this fall were game-winners and he finished with eight points on three goals and a pair of assists. He was also a Fourth Team All-Region IX selection a year ago and was one of the Foresters' four Second Team All-MWC honorees this year.
Lake Forest won its first 15 games and finished the season with an overall record of 19-2-0. The Foresters captured the regular season conference title and won the MWC Tournament to reach the nation event for the fourth straight season.
The five all-region selections are the most in program history.
