Lake Forest College's Michael Kelley was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in Saturday's 72-0 victory over Lawrence University.

Kelley made four tackles in the contest and each occurred behind the line of scrimmage, giving him a career-high 3.5 of the team's 14 tackles for loss. The senior defensive tackle helped lead a Forester defense that allowed just four first downs and 27 total yards in the entire contest.

In addition to his contributions on the defensive line, Kelley made an appearance in the backfield on offense and started the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run late oin the opening quarter.

Kelley leads the team's defensive linemen with 25 tackles and 9.0 tackles for loss so far this season. He now has 83 tackles, including 21.0 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, in his career.

The D3football.com Team of the Week began in 1999 and Kelley is the 26th Forester to be honored.
