The Forester women's hockey team dropped a 6-1 decision to College of Saint Benedict at home on Sunday.
The Bennies struck three times in the opening period and twice in the second.
The home team's only goal of the day was scored by sophomore defenseman
Lily Anderson at the 7:12 mark of the third period. Sophomore forward
Victoria Liu caught the puck at the blue line and dropped it for freshman forward Gracia Muñoz, who skated in and fired a shot from the left circle. The Bennie goaltender made the save but the rebound came to Anderson in the right circle and she fired it back in for her second score of the season.
Saint Benedict closed out the scoring six minutes later.
The loss dropped the Foresters' record this season to 6-4-0 while Saint Benedict improved to 5-2-0.
Lake Forest will resume Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play against Marian University next weekend. The teams will face off in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse Friday night at 7:00 and in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, an hour later on Saturday.
