The Lake Forest College took on the hosts in the semifinals of Wheaton College's Beth Baker Classic Friday night and was defeated 65-45.
The Foresters kept the game close through three quarters and three-pointer by junior guard
Careah Baitlon made it a 49-40 game heading into the fourth. The Thunder, however, scored the first eight points of the final period and the visitors got no closer than 16 points the rest of the way.

Sara Mills grabbed a game-high eight boards. She also led the Foresters with 10 points while junior guard

Ariana Ferreira-Torralba added seven apiece.
Turnovers were the Foresters' downfall as their 30 on the night were twice the Thunder's 15. Lake Forest also shot just 31.1 percent from the field while Wheaton was at 41.4 percent.
The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 1-2 and Wheaton improved to 2-1.
Lake Forest will take on Alma College, which fell 73-70 to Simpson College on Friday, in the tournament's consolation game Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
