The Lake Forest College women's hockey team earned its second shutout of the weekend on Saturday, prevailing 2-0 at University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Both goals in the game came from senior defenseman
Willow Poppleton, who entered the weekend with just one goal in her collegiate career and now has four. She struck first at the 13:08 mark of the opening period with assists credited to junior forward Jenny Fryar and freshman forward Gracia Muñoz.
The score remained 1-0 for the next 45 minutes of game time until Poppleton struck again with just 1:29 to play in the contest. Junior forwards

Victoria Liu earned assists on the play.
Freshman Lily Peterfuso became the second Lake Forest goaltender in as many days to post a shutout. She made 31 saves in her collegiate debut, including 16 in the second period.
The Foresters will take a 2-0 record into next weekend's series with Aurora University to open Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. The teams will face off at Aurora Thursday night at 7:30 and in Lake Forest's Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse Friday at 7:00 p.m.
