The Forester women's hockey team suffered a 10-1 loss Friday night at Adrian College, the fourth-ranked team in the nation.

The visitors' only score of the contest came off the stick of junior forward Shannon Gibbons, whose second score this season was unassisted and made it a 4-1 game at the 14:15 mark of the second period.

The Bulldogs accounted for the only goal of the opening frame and responded to the score by Gibbons with one of their own just 79 seconds later to grab a 5-1 lead going into the third.

The Foresters were out-shot 50-24 in the contest.

The loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record to 6-8-3 and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark to 2-5-3. Adrian improved to 13-2-1 overall and 8-0-1 in the league.

The same two teams will face off again at Adrian Saturday afternoon at 3:00 (ET).
