The Lake Forest College cross country teams began the season at St. Norbert College's Tom Barry Invitational on Saturday with the Forester women placing ninth and the men 10th.
As she did in four of six races last season, sophomore
Sophie Graham was the women's team's top runner. She completed the 5-kilometer route at Shorewood Cross Country Course in 21:11.55, good for 30th place out of 126 finishers. Classmate
Lettia Hoda was next on the squad, crossing the finish line five places and nine seconds later. Freshman
Eleanor Clark and senior
Delfina Jorgensen were 86th and 87th, respectively, and junior
Megan Dodrill rounded out the team's top five in 97th.

Owen Lashenik paced the Lake Forest men, finishing 42nd out of 122 runners overall with a 6-kilometer clocking of 21:01.50. Senior
Bart Brophy was next in 61st with a time of 21:47.27, two places and 11 seconds ahead of sophomore
Ali Faiz. Sophomore
Austin Hewes (87th) and freshmanÂ
Demos Manoukis (95th) completed the team's top five.
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men claimed the team titles at the meet.
The Foresters will be in action again in two weeks at the Ken Weidt Classic, which will be held on the Concordia University Wisconsin campus.
