The Forester women's lacrosse team outscored Illinois Institute of Technology 11-3 in the second half and 22-10 in the game on Saturday.
After matching her own school records with five assists and eight points against Edgewood College on Monday and again at Elmhurst University on Wednesday, junior
Ryleigh Nelson racked up a dozen points on five goals and seven assists on Saturday. She had at least one goal and assist in each quarter of her record-setting performance.
Three of Nelson's assists came on goals scored by junior
Jenna Doctor, who tied her own team record with seven scores in the contest, including the 100th of her career. Sophomore
Daulath Khan also had a hat trick, the first of her career, and two-goal performances were turned in by sophomore
Emma Sharp and freshman
Alyssa Dyson. All three of Khan's scores occurred in the first quarter and Dyson's were her first as a Forester.
Freshman
Eva Russell, junior
Ashley Carr, and sophomore
Isabel Bersie added single tallies and senior
Ali Graham recorded three assists for the home team. The 22 goals are the third-highest single-game total in team history and the Foresters' 60 goals this week are their highest-three-game total.
Graham also tied her own program record with 11 draw controls and added three caused turnovers, one fewer than the team-high total posted by freshman
Ella Maher. Maher, Sharp, and Nelson added four ground balls apiece to their stat lines.
Forester sophomore goalie
Cecilia Adams made 10 saves in the game and earned the victory, which raised her team's record on the season to 3-2. Illinois Tech fell to 1-3.
Lake Forest will travel to Aurora University on Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
